The makers of Game of Thrones have teamed up with top Californian wine producer Vintage Wine Estates Inc. for a trio of special-edition wines celebrating the arrival of the upcoming House of the Dragon prequel series set to premiere on August 21.
“I’d like to have my own vineyard, make my own wine: The Imp’s Delight. Only my close friends could drink it,” Tyrion Lannister once said. With that sentiment in mind, the House of Dragon selection is said to be vinted and bottled at the Seven Kingdoms Cellars, a division of VWE, and consists of three wines celebrating the “Day of the Dragon.” Arriving in 750ml bottles, the wines include a 2021 Pinot Noir from Oregon, a 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon from California, and a 2020 red blend from Lodi, California.
As Cersei Lannister once said, “An unhappy wife is a wine merchant’s best friend.”https://t.co/K8qPOkreTx
